International work

Working on behalf of Discovery Education to support a national curriculum reform program in Egypt, through the creation of professional learning programs for teachers - both in person and online.

Setting up and running national coding competitions for students, including devising challenges and judging criteria, and providing training and support for local partners to ensure successful implementation.

Education support for activity-based STEM programs for TV broadcast in Africa and Mexico, and virtual summer camps for students worldwide, during the global pandemic.

In School Training

One off sessions and long term programmes, delivered face to face or online. The in-school professional development program I delivered for Brentfield Primary School over two years was nominated for an Education Resources Award, in the partnerships category.

Most recently I've worked with Enfield Education Services, to design and co-deliver a digital transformation program and support pack for schools, with training sessions delivered remotely.

I have also delivered training for organisations including 2simple, Discovery Education (Coding, Espresso and STEM workshops for students), RM, Havering SIS, Ebbio Education, 2BuildAProfile and Rising Stars

EDuCATION PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES

Devising education programs and creating associated resources for organisations including The Story Museum, Friends of the Earth (on behalf of Loop Labs) and Potential Plus.

Creating and advising on lesson plans, student packs, digital content and interactive activities for a range of publishers and providers, including Espresso (developing primary content across range of subjects including maths, history, spelling and phonics activities) and Discovery Coding.

I have worked in the UK and internationally for more than 20 years, and have a broad range of career experience in the education sector. This includes:

Supporting curriculum reform and developing teacher professional development programs at a national level
Advising on and developing learning materials and programs for a range of organisations
Working directly with schools, teachers, parents and students to enhance learning and improve outcomes
Where it all started! Working as a classroom teacher in primary schools, in Australia and the UK
